NEWSFLASH: Animation is hard work.
Seriously tho' this is killing me, I've been back at the concept table over and over again. I keep trying to find the best way to maximize the little time i have to get work done. Ironically THAT takes time as well...
FOR THOSE IN THE KNOW:
B4 I've been using bits and peices and pasting together the different symbols to make the figures, from there I shift them to form, for each frame. [Hanna Barbara syle]
the big advantage of this over [my usual] frame x frame drawn teqnique is that one I have the chacter built, thats it. I can use him and manipulate him as I please as many times as I want, I can even change the colours ofwhole elements after the scene has been finished. The down side is that its so limiting in movement and angle. And on a personal note: Another thing is I miss from frame x frame is the ability to just draw it. If the fig is off with the puppet is off, so much more planning and work is involved to make it work. In FxF if I can imagine it I just draw it...
Anyway...
I've still got a scene or two left to do in DC/MD:District Heights part 1 and I've moved onto the Pre-animation phase of the charcter designs for the Jolly Jack animation.
Stay tuned...
