Needing a break from my DP break I pulled out the flat colours on this. The big focus with this one was colour management.

A crude Stumble into the world of Digi-Painting

This is maybe my 3rd, attempt at Digital Painting, but this is the first that I've put out...
I didn't have my Wacom so its not all it could be, but its a start. I'm trying to capture thats therapeutic drawing I had when I used to paint with acrylics. Its not the same -or as fun- but its a good pause from work and animation. Again, we'll see.

Now that thats over...

...Back to work.

Unfortunatly I lost about a half hours worth of progress when I attempted to save and Flash 8 decided to crash on me. so its 4:45 am wed. and Ive lost most of the cleaned up animation on Manji (the guy), theres still no sound FX and I still need to put in the general FX.
...and Ive got work in 3-4 hours.


After a calming deep breath, I cleaned up the pencil tests a best I could on the guy, and put the wrap on the major action scene. I trudge through till about 5:30 and complete the genral FX, so when I get back all I had left was to shoehorn the score and program the buttons. and as they say the rest is history....

As for the future? This is close to my original plan for the short; incomplete, but adequate for meeting the deadline of the contest. I got other stuff I need to get back to but after that I'll flesh the BoTI teaser.
